Im having a problem achieving my desired installed hieght i have +.50 keepers and im at 1.775 how much can i machine down on the spring bases i need about .075 and i already have std length valves that i paid for and cant take back now otherwise i would have bought +.100

 

Ya can get .050 up retainers for your app too.

 

If you do all that, make sure to check your rocker/retainer clearances.
