Car is running horrible 1993 Z28

OK I have a 93 z28 6 speed, the damn thing is running very rich and when Im driving it feels like something is trying to hold the car back in a sense. the shifter shakes more then it should when the cars in gear and when I hit about 3-3500 rpms the car accelerates very slow if hardly any. I was thinkin about an optispark being the prob but i dunno i did plugs and wires a few weeks ago and that helped some. I replaced the opti like a year ago but I dunno whats up if anyone can offer any help, ideas, suggestions all would be very appreciated thanks

How old are the O2 sensors?

Do you still have a cat on the car?

They don't last forever and 93s will not tell you if the O2 sensors are going bad.

Change them and reset your PCM.

yeah mine is having similar symptoms, however i just switched in another set of plugs and only the right bank was running rich, so with the new plugs in it ran awesome for about a half hour then problems started up again. so i changed out my 02s a couple days later and then it ran great for about a half hour, then when it got to operating temp it was missing bad and felt like i was runnin on 4 cylinders. Im not sure why the motor keeps fouling out plugs on the right bank but im going to switch both the plugs and the o2s at the same time later this week to see if its a problem there. if not, i would blame a little leak i have in my exhuast and look at the opti spark as well.

No it doesn't. If it stored a code it WILL flash any stored codes even if the SES Light is off, unless the computer has been cleared.

Look in the fuse panel on the driver side of the dash..... Should be a 15 amp(blue) fuse marked ECM BATT or PCM BATT.... Remove for 10~30 seconds.. Place back..... This will reset the codes....

Or you can remove the NEG side battery cable, but you loose radio stations, etc.......

Totally sounds like the Optspark to me. Those thing have several symptoms and yours sounds exactly like mine did when I was having issues with it.
