MAC Header Leak!

Finally got the mac headers installed. The y-pipe was pretty off on fitment, but managed to get them to fit somehow. Anyway, started it up and sounded awesome out the back, but crap up front. Major exhaust leak! I saw it coming though. I'm thinking the y-pipe is pulling on the driverside because it is leaking out the top of the headers.

Think maybe if I pull the gasket and place a thick layer of high temp silcone on the gasket might help??? or will it just blow right through that?

Re: MAC Header Leak!

maybe i could take the y-pipe to some place and have them bend it out. might be hard to do without the headers there to compare it with though...
hope i didn't screw up the headers...

Re: MAC Header Leak!

ok i have the mac headers problems are the copper gaskets they are really ****ty i changed mine out with mr.gasket set got rid of some of the leak another problem is the headers are not level so they dont bolt up flat so washers or the spacers from the manifold bolts will help this also some of the driver side headers are missing a weld where the 4 tubes go to the collector also if you still have the egr tube that will not bolt up flush and make a really ****ty sound when going down the road mine still has it and i hate it
