m6 having some difficulties

i have a 95 z m6. every once in a while i have problems getting the it into gear. it is usually first. i push in the clutch and the shifter just won't go up there. so i usually just put it in second and go back up to first and most of the time it goes in. my clutch is not slipping in 6th when i punch it. i was thinking the slave/master cylinder or maybe a clutch spring is broke. ideas would be great. thanks

Nah, if thats your only problem, its normal. I have that problem, and Im 99% everyone does. It happens when the synchros are in the one position where they will not engage. If you let out the clutch then push it back in it will go into gear. Dont worry about it.

I'm not completely sure but I've heard that may be normal, just don't force it! I think it has something to do with syncros but I may be way off, experts please help!

I'm by no means an expert, but my 93 has that happen every once in a while, and my brand new 99 when I had it would also do the same.

its weird because i have never had this problem before and all of a sudden it happens to me a couple times a week. actually the other day it would not go in any gear. i tried 1st-6th and reverse with no luck. so, i was sitting at a stop sign for 30 seconds like a dumb *** because it would not let me in any gear. i raised and lowered the clutch several times without any luck. after a while it finally let me into second so i took off in second. reverse always has been tough to get into but that does not bother me because i don't use it that much. with reverse, sometimes it just doesn't go all the way up and grinds.
