AS&M vs. Hooker LT for lt1?

i might be able to snag a nice set of hooker shorty super comps for good price w. y pipe and matching high flow cat that goes to the y, im thinking about going with this setup to the gmmg catback

On the Hooker Shorties, I'd save my money for a 1 3/4" Primary Mid or LT.

Might i suggest a set of SLP's "Mids" they are expensive but are stainless steel so rust won't ever be an issue. They are very very simliar to the AS&M's, but in my opinion the SLP's have a better design for sealing the y-pipe connections. They do make a 93 version and are excellent quality. I love mine on my 95. I bought them used probably 3 years ago and they still look pretty good, anyone i know with coated regular steel headers have lost all their coating by now. My buddies hooker LT's look like you could poke'em with your finger and put a hole in them and they were coated at one time.
