i highly suggest CAI before headers...however AS&M are the best non-LT's!

Save the money you'd spend on a new CAI from Year One, and buy a used one here. It's very hard to TRASH a CAI, other than the filter, and even the filter is only $45.00 to replace. They are listed all the time in the For Sale section.
You'll probably see more improvement with the CAI than any of the other mods you have done so far. It only costs about $125, and takes about 20 minutes to install. HTH....

I saw really good gains from the AS&M's. They are the perfect compromise between shorties and LT''s. I got the 1 3/4 in ones. Dont have any exact numbers but they are good headers.

I have that setup on mine. I don't have exact numbers, but it felt a ton stronger afterwards. I like the fact that they don't hang down like longtubes, are emissions legal, and still flow great since they are 1 3/4" primaries. On top of everything, the exhaust sounds sooo good now.
I have another setup for sale with Y pipe and dual high flow cats if anyone is interested.

My TPIS mids are just as good IMO. I dropped my 1/4 by about .3s with 1 3/4 mids with no cats. Pretty good IMO.

I don't have any before and after numbers on my AS&M mid-lengths, because they were installed with the stroker buildup. But I am pushing close to 800HP through them, 500NA + a 300-shot. I bought them from a guy who made over 850HP with them on a Vortech S/C'd 30th SS Convert, and he found in his application (5,000-7,200rpm), they actually made better power than the Hooker LT's he dyno'd them against.

someone should dyno AS&M headers vs. hooker/flp longtubes, vs stock manifolds. Im sure someone knows how much power they make with the as&m headers, any 300rwhp bolt on cars with them?

I remember hearing that someone on the board had AS&M's and was pushing some crazy number like 700-800hp before switching to long tubes.
