AS&M Headers with what cat?????

Thats right my cat is clogged....

I've been doing some searching for a while now and I'm having a hard time finding a cat that will fit up with my AS&M headers and still flow well. Has anyone bought a catco cat to fit these headers or any other kind, if so where and what part number? Does it have the flange?

Or would it be expensive to buy an oval universal cat and have flanges welded onto it?

I actually don't care if I get a high flow cat or not, I am just looking for one that will bolt up to the flange on the Y-pipe and the other end of the exhuast. I was lookin at catco cats but I couldn't find one that was oval and had a 2 flanged ends (Jegs and Summit). I really don't want to buy the Random Technology one from Thunder because it is wicked expensive and I figure someone could hopefully point me in the right direction first.

Any input would be greatly appreciated, the car feels wicked sluggish and I wanna try and get this done before I hit up the track. Thanks
Jp

These guys sell the same headers. Go to the exhaust page or call, they can fix you up.

I also have AS&M headers and I did a sort of "bolt in" cat so when I get inspected, I can just bolt the cat in, and when I want a straight pipe, I can bolt that in as well. I bought the Magnaflow high flow cat off eBay for decently cheap and has worked well.

I bought my Magnaflow high flow cat 3" in 3" out off ebay for $65.00 shipped.
I then had to buy a set of 3" flanges of which I have some extra.

Here is the same thing for $69.00 shipped:

If you need a 3" flange you can have one with the bolts and gasket for $12 shipped.

Random Technologies makes a cat that directly bolts up to the ASM headers. Ask me how I know.

It's pricey though, when I bought mine in 2002 it was $225.

Hey thanks for the info everyone. I'm probably gonna buy the cat and have the flanges welded on like wrd1972 said. Seems like the cheapest way to do it. I'll let you know how it goes.
