Question luke warm heat (nothing more) advice

Hey everyone,

Experiencing luke warm heat coming from my heater and it barely blows out the vents above the head unit. Not too sure why I'm not getting alot of heat. the motor heats up fine why won't it blow any for me. I havwe a new thermostat so we can rule that one out and I have flushed the radiator plenty of times since I had to replace my opti twice. What else can I do, or what can I do to tell if my heater core went bad?

Try flushing out the heater core. Disconnect the two hoses on the fire wall and stick a hose in there untill it flows out clean. Just be careful not to get water all over the place. Good luck, Rob

make sure you flush the heater core in reverse as to how it flows. That way if there is abunch of crud in it instead of shoving it in there farther you can force it back out the way it came in.

Mine did the same thing a few years back. I took the lines off, and put compressed air too it. Blew out a lot of rust. Has worked like a charm ever since. I dont recommend doing this as you could probably cause a leak from the high pressure, but it worked for me.

Well I guess right now thats the only option I got. First I'll try using the air compressor then if that doesn't work I'll replace it. I went through the winter last year with the luke warm air and I really don't want to do it again this winter. their saying were gonna get a sh**** winter.

thanks guys I'll see wha I can do and if any of it works I'll let you know.
