Lucas Injectors...

Anybody here using Lucas 30# Injectors, or any size for that matter? Input, suggestions?
Where can I get them.
BTW, this will be for a 383 LT1.
Thanks,
-Goose

Re: Lucas Injectors...

I am using Lucas 37lb injectors. They work fine and were priced right. I got them from a stang place listed on the corral. I think I paid like $250 shipped for them. I think racetronix or one of there distributors sell them.

Cool. Thanks for the tip. I think $250.00 is about the cheapest I've seen them.

Depending on your power goals something a little bigger than 30s might suit you better.

On the for sale forums on corral.net there's always a TON of injectors for sale.

My car is currently running, and dyno-tuned on a Mustang Dyno. The final numbers were 396.6rwhp @ 6010rpm and 396flbt @ 4700rpm.
I'm having a little hesitation on the low rpm. I currently have LT4 28# injectors, which they may be dirty, and causing problems. I was told to go with the Lucas injectors over the F*rd SVO for better idling qualities. Don't know much about that, but...
Anyway, I could have my LT4 Injectors cleaned, but I want to go 30# injectors, and not any higher, because I race at high altitude. Air is at a premium up here, and more gas it's not what you need as much as you'll need more air. However, I'm leaving the doors open in case I go and race at Las Vegas or Topeka Kansas, where bigger injectors will help.
Thx-Goose

Bigger injectors don't use more gas, that's what a tune is for is to tell the injector how long to stay open, etc. With almost 400 rwhp, 30# injectors would be close to their limits if you decide to add a bit more power. Might as well go ahead and step up to a 36#.

None of the injectors are really better than the other. SVO injectors work fine.
