I know the frustration of trying to pull together an event like that. More complaints than anything else. We tried it twice back around 98 or 99 at Englishtown, and managed to get two of the top three (at the point in history) LT1's on the track at the same time (Baxter and Madman). Neither of them won, it went to a 3rd Gen with an LT1 and a lot of juice. Back then, running a 9.0x with an LTx was a big deal.

Good luck!!!

You are right! I remember that event. Takes a lot of work to put together an event like this. Even though some complain about the classes and rules, when they show up they have a blast. The majority of the LT1 community is pleased with the classes, rules, location....etc.......because it gives cars of every level a chance to run and compete. With GMHTP magazine covering the event again it really gives the average Joe a chance to get in media. Get to meet a lot of people around the country including some of the fastest LT1's out there. Chris Sykora's car is now running and will be at the event running possibly in the 7's. My car, Jason B, Taner Bosnali, plus 3-4 more nitrous cars will be gunning for 8's at the event. The after party was a blast as well! I am encouraging all of you to try and attend this event. It will be one to remember.
