LTCC and Low Resistance Wires... why not?

I reworked how I mount my coils this winter, and need a new set of wires for the car. I remember reading in the instructions when I first bought the system that you shouldn't use low resistance wires.... just the regular ones.

I'm just thinking that the lower resistance the better... and that if LS1 cars have no issues with the coil packs and these wire types... why would they not be good for the LTCC system?

Anyone running any low resistance wires (most high performance ones like MSD for example)? Any problems?

I was also curious as to "why" on this when reading about LTCC.

I ran MSD 8.5s with my LTCC (now for sale) and it worked great. I read that all over this board, but did it anyway. Worked great and ensured that I had correctly crimped wires.

Certain types of plug wires can cause electrical interference (EMI and RFI) with the LTCC unit and cause it to not function properly. Ever run solid core plug wires and here the "static" on your car radio?

Personally, I think MagneCor wires are the best and that's what I'm using with my LTCC. Check out their website as they have alot of information about plug wires. And, the nice thing about MagneCor is that they'll make your wires to the length you specify so there's no need to try to make a custom set on your own.

So it's not the low resistance wires I should be avoiding, but the ones that suppress RFI and EMI.... that makes sense... and probably better for the other electronics in my car as well.

As far as making your own... I actually prefer making my own... especially the first time out, as I may experiment a little with positioning. I was actually looking at getting some bulk wire and buying the ends I need.... as I change my wires every couple of years, and it may be more cost effective.

I searched on Summit and it indicates that Taylor Cable, MSD Ignition, Summit, ACCEL and Mallory all have RFI suppression wires.... so maybe I'd be ok with MSD.
