LTCC help please
LTCC help please
First off let me say that Bob may build a nice unit, but his directions are as well written as the latest copy of the Enquirer. I BELIEVE I have everything hooked up like it should be. Coils are mounted and plugged in, all eight are grounded, the white wire is run to the white wire with a black strip on the harness, and the pink wires are run to both of the pink wires that use to be used by the old coil setup. When I turn the key on, both lights light for a second, when I crank the motor the green light is on, and the green light turns off when I let off the key. But the damn thing wont start. I didnt get the chance to check for spark as I fried a wire off the starter. But tomorrow I will have the starter fixed and back in, then what the hell can I use for a excuse??? Anybody have any ideas?

email him if you have not done that, he has always helped me even with the stupid questions.
I can go out and look at mine a little later if you want and confirm the wires that are attached.
The coils must be grounded really well!!!!

both pink wires from LTCC just to go to a 12V KEY signal, which on the old coil connectors is a connector with only 1 prong, check it with volt meter.

Did you specify to Bob what year your car is? I know when I ordered my kit he sent me a wiring diagram for a 96 which is different than a 93.

I have the coils grounded good in my opinion, all are on the frame and all were wire wheeled before I attached them. Thanks for the offer Shon, I may just take you up on it if I dont figure this out
Hopefully the starter will help having a new one in there. As long as I dont cook this one too.
Actually it was a mix up of the wires. As soon as I had the right mix it fired right up. Maybe I can get my camera out and get some photos and do a write up on it. The directions are really vague. But should any of you need help when you do yours, dont be afraid to email me or PM me. I will do for you what was done for me. I will go out to the car and we can walk thru your wiring and match it up till it runs

I've had my LTCC on for over a year without any problems. I brought the car home from the shop last night after rebuilding the tranny and installing a new clutch. This morning the car wont fire. I'm not getting any spark at the Coils. I'm going to check the trigger wire right now. I can't find my LTCC manual..does anyone have one that they could scan or convert to PDF and email to me....I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Mark

Sent you an email- I have the same problem w/ my '95 LT1. For everyone else, here is the info:
I hooked up both pink wires to the +12V pin (solid) wire and checked that I had voltage with the key on. I soldered all my grounds and checked the connections with an ohm meter so I don't think this is the problem. As for the white wire, there are two white wires w/ black stripes- one is on a 2 wire connector, and the other is on a 4 wire connector. I hooked up the white wire to the 2 wire white/black stripe wire. I can smell fuel, so I know that is not the problem. The LTCC red LED lights up & goes off like it should, and I get a solid green while cranking.
(Edit #1)
When I hooked it up to the 4 wire white/black wire, the green LED flashes while cranking. I tried another PCM with the same results.
I checked the LTCC wiring harness and it looks to be OK, and the connector on the passenger side is hooked up properly. I also put a 20 amp ignition fuse in the box under the hood per the LTCC directions.
Using PCMCOMM, I am getting a computer syntax error (a bunch of computer code) as soon as I turn the key to on, but no error codes.
The motor turns over and doesn't even try to fire.
(Edit #2)
Success!
After reading a few other posts on this issue, I found that on a 1995, the white LTCC wire goes to the solid white wire on the 4 wire connector. Hooked it up & it fired right up!

The 4 wire connector is on the top in this photo. You can see the white wire next to the pink one, it is second from left.
Now to find out how addictive that boost is!!!
