LT4 starter users..

I noticed the mounting area is thinner.. did you use shorter bolts, or do you need to space it off the block? thanks

The LT4 starter is the same as the LT1 Vette starter, yes? I'm using regular old bolts, seems to be workin fine still. I think I replaced it almost 2 years ago.

When I installed mine, I used the same bolts.

I used the part #for the '96 LT4 Vette when I ordered it.

Part #10455709

I'm pretty sure I had enough thread to be confident in leaving it alone, I've had it off a couple times since then, but it stays on without problems and starts up great. Starts up faster than stock slightly, also sounds a bit different, but works fine so far, stock bolts.

I replaced mine because the housing on the stocker decided to disintegrate.
