24lb is the stock sized injectors in the lt1. not sure why you went with those.

stock lt4 intake valve is 2.00
stock lt4 exhaust valve is 1.55

other than that i am not sure what you are asking

Valve size means little if the head isn't setup right for them and LT4 stuff is not as great as most newbies believe. The guys are right on the injectors too.

and X3 for what are you asking?????

Re: LT4 spec car...what size valves??

what i'm basically asking is what size injectors do i need for an lt4 spec car....and what size stock is on it b/c i have to go up not down...i thought stock was 22lb. correct me if i'm wrong....i'm trying to turn my car into an lt4 basically

and also i'm putting bigger valves in it, the guy doing it has been building camaros f bodies for a long time a friend of mine i know he would not steer me wrong but the injectors might need to be 30lb. i'm not sure but he said that was overkill

he's putting in like 2.250 valves or something, he's built alot of lt4 spec cars and thats what he uses it might not be that exact number but close

i just wanted all of you guys opinion espically about the injectors b/c i got almost all of it in my house waiting on the hooker lt's that's backordered....so i can alway send the 24lb. svo's back and get 30

thanks

Re: LT4 spec car...what size valves??

The LT4 was different head and intake castings as well as different crank and pistons, none of which are particularly wonderful, not bad but there arfe better choices. Sounds like you need to STOP spending money and start doing some learning, sounds like you might need to find a decent shop too.

In 93 I think 22lbs was stock but for 94 on up it was 24 on the LT1 and the LT4 was 28lbs. 30lbs is perfectly reasonable for a heads cam motor and any COMPETENT shop would know that. From what you have said you need to RUN from that shop.

Well, since the "LT4 spec" cars were only 330 HP, I'd have to say you're setting your sights a little low...

24 lb injectors will cover your stated mods, but 30's will give you some room to grow.

As far as bigger valves, 2.00/1.57 is the biggest combo you can use on the stock LT1 seats...

Re: LT4 spec car...what size valves??

If he can put a 2.250" intake valve in an LT1 head, to turn it into an "LT4 spec", he's a magician, not a mechanic.

Here's a comparison of the LT4 to the LT1, with all the parts required.... a very expensive investment, for not much in the way of power.

Re: LT4 spec car...what size valves??

well thanks for the info guys, i liked that link you gave me btw but felt like 96capricemgr were calling me a dumb a$$ or something but thanks for the info, i'm not a young kid, i'm just trying to get some info and now i know there is a big diff. in the lt1 and lt4, i guess i'm going to ship back the 24lb. injectors and get the 30lb's

and about the valves i'm not really sure i was just guessing at the size....all he said was he was going to put the biggest valve in there that it would take......and btw this SHOP is a friend of mine and that's all he's ever built and know of 10 Z's he's built that are still running great today with alot more goodies than i'm gonna do, so i know he know's what he's doing but anyways thanks for the info...i hope my car turns out nicely
