Alright so I'm planning on getting the LT4 knock module, but i had one question. I have a 1993 and I know it had some differences with the computer and sensors. So i'm wondering if the module will work with my car? Thanks in advance!

 

Nope, can't use it. There is nowhere to put it in a 1993 ECM. Only 94-97s.

 

So should I just run without anything or is there an alternative to that for the 93's?

There are ways to desensitize the knock detection with resistors. A search of this site or a Google search will probably come up with something.

I would not run without knock detection, unless you are very sure that you will never have any knock.

 

It won't do anything, unless you have some false knock caused by noisy rocker arms or other things.

The LT4 KM "ignores" some of that extra noise. It was developed for use on the LT4 engines which had full roller rockers.
