lt4 km

i did a few searches nothing came up on the ? i have!
i have a pretty much stock camaro, is it ok to install this? any reason i shouldnt?
i noticed most of you do it when you install headers. and what is part #? and where is good place to buy?

That's because an LT1 KM is more sensitive to knock and headers create more noise/heat which sometimes cause the sensor to think your motor is knocking. LT4 KM is less sensitive to it takes much more to create that "false knock."

Where to buy? www.GMPartsDirect.com -- It's under Chassis/Wiring, I forget the PN though.

i went to gmpartsdirect and the part # is 16214681 but it comes up as knock sensor! and the price 28.92$ is this the right part? just making sure i am getting the right part

damn i already ordered them from gmparts direct for 36$ shipped. i dont think that is bad. thanks for the help guys. i will be doing tune up when parts get here so i know i will have plenty more ?'s for ya
