Re: LT4 Intake Question?

You will lose hp as the ports won't line up, though it will bolt on.

Re: LT4 Intake Question?

Perhaps a little more info...

Mechanically, there is an interference between the LT4 intake and the valve cover rail on the LT1 head. Either can be machined, and they can be bolted together.

But, you will see no change in performance. In actuality, although the LT4 heads have 0.100" raised runners, the LT4 intake does not have these raised runners. What it does have when it comes from the factory is a passage and profile that is virtually identical to the LT1 intake. What is different is that the LT4 intake has more metal on the top, to allow the ports to be matched to the LT4 heads, and it takes a substantial amount of porting, both in the runners and at the TB connection to get the LT4 intake to support well-ported LT4 heads.

It is a nice shade of red though

[EDIT]... You might want to try the "search" function for questions like this... I am willing to bet that "Arnie", myself and several others have answered this question at least 50 times over the years.
