LT4 Intake

I have a Hotckis Strut tower brace that goes straight over the moter, if i upgrade the intake to a LT4 will that get in the way?

You don't need an LT4 intake manifold, it wouldn't be an upgrade for you.

Other than that, no, the strut tower brace would not affect it, but yes you would have to remove it to isntall.

The reason the factory LT4 intake won't interfere with your shock tower brace is because it has the same height as the factory LT1 intake. Other than a small amount of extra metal at the top of each runner, the exterior dimensions are identical. And, the interior ports are virtually identical, so there would not be any "upgrade" involved. Then there's the issue of bolting it to your heads, because the extra metal on the top of the runners interferes with the valve cover rail on the LT1 heads, and either the heads or the intake would need to be machined to eliminate the interference.

Oh i thought it would add some power, and i did understand that the brace would need to be removed to install it. I had been told before that i would have to take off the brace cause it would not fit on with the intake, but obviously that isn't goin to matter anyway. Thanks for the help and the information.
