LT4 Intake?

Can i put just the LT4 intake on my Lt1 or do i have to buy other things like the hot cam? Will i see any improvements by adding the intake? I used to have a Mustang 5.0 and there were a million options for intakes and i cant find anything else besides the lt4 intake.

you have to port match your current heads, or buy a set of LT4 heads

why does this feel like deja vu?

You might want to try a "search".... I'm sure the same question was asked yesterday.

The LT4 intake will not physically bolt to LT1 heads without machine work, either on the intake or the heads. There is an interference near the valve cover rail.

When you actually look at an LT4 intake, rather than just assuming what you've read on a board is correct, you will find that the port openings on the intake are only very slightly different than the LT1 intake. However, on the actual head ports, its a different story. Do a search for posts on the subject by "Arnie"... he has posted all the "facts" a few times.

I have yet to see any evidence that an LT4 intake, properly fitted to LT1 heads will increase performance, or even that it will support the LT1 heads as well as the LT1 intake. It takes significant rework of the LT4 intake to properly support healthy flowing LT4 heads.
