CC305 Ca Smog results

Took the car down to see if the CC305 would pass California strict dyno testing this afternoon. And here are the results:

http://www.jbelectric.us/ot/ImpalaSS...mogresults.pdf

Yup, it passed Pretty easily infact. This is a stock 100k mile Caprice Lt1. Only mods are the cam, air intake, and Bryan Herter programming.

Now the question is. Looking at the results, how much bigger can I go?

Looks good. Well now i no the cc305 should pass. But i also am wondering if the xe224/230 112lsa will pass. I wonder which would provide more power the xe224/230 on a 114lsa or the cc305. Does anybody know?

Andy,

We would have to find the max allowable in those categories to figure out how much bigger you can go.

I'm sure they have a max allowable for the CO2, O2, NO, CO and HC. If you found out how far away from them you are then we should be o.k.

The 383 will help all of this out, so you can run more cam in that thing.

Cool-what is the cost of getting this done. I am moving out to LA and want to get mine tested just to see if it (224/236 114) will pass so I know to stick with it or not. I've heard with 383s it will but don't know about 350s, only one way to find out I suppose

All the max, average and actual measurements are in the .PDF file above. I think I am going to stick with the CC305 for now and stick it in the 383 thats going in next month. The cc305 cam is a nice mild manner cam for daily driving and should make plenty of torque. and its a great cam for da juice later on And since I know it will pass smog that takes some pressure off me. Thanks for your help Bret

LOL, nope the car in my sig is my old ImpalaSS that I sold a few years ago. . Lots of bolts on and a little bit of juice

My current car is a stock 9c1 with a CC305, my guess is around 290ish rwhp. Soon to be a whole lot more when the 383 goes in
