I have bolt ons and a hotcam. My tune was from madz28.com. Just a mail order tune... and I know it runs a bit rich.

My milage dropped about 2mpg both city and highway. I get about 28mpg on the highway taking it easy... 26mpg if I push 80mph. City, I get around 16ish these days...

Honestly I have no idea what it gets on the highway, I don't drive it anywhere far enough. I have a few times but I have never bothered to check the milage. I think one of the reasons I get such low milage is the fact that in my tune my converter is seldom locked up. I have it that way on purpose because I have a 9 inch converter with a small surface area clutch in it I got from a local shop. While the converter works pretty good the clutch has a lot of shudder to it I didn't like so I just tuned it out for the most part. If I recall there are not many instances other than OD cruise that lock up will occur. I have been meaning to get a vigilante to see if it was that much better but I am a slacker

They are, but they have a much better lock up clutch in them than the "bargain" converter I am currently running.

I got mine from him too and the same thing, runs a bit rich. I still see 25 on the highway with 4.10s and around 16ish city.

I am going to go against the grain here and i understand there a lot of variables here, but i have the hotcam kit full bolt ons and le1 heads with a mad z tune. the tune is dead on, and the car is much faster than before. im very happy with it but my mpg's suffered. 13-14 city and about 250 miles on a full tank of gas on the highway. i do drive a little aggressively so that might be hurting me aswel. But the LT4 hotcam kit is great. I would reccomend it. I love mine. Talk to Ion the mad tuner for a good price on a tune aswel Good luck on your decision.

20.5 mpg mostly highway

My car got 22-23 before the heads and hot cam and now only lost about 1 mpg. a new opti and 34 lb injectors can get me back to 22 mpg- I think.

If you're getting 10 somethings wrong.......
I get about 15-16 in town...with 3.45 gears, 3500 stall and a bigger cam than what your listing and I beat it like it owes me money.
