Shouldn't drop by very much. The LT4 "Hot Cam" is a very mild cam.

I get 23-25 on the highway with the GM847 and an A4.

Shouldn't affect highway mileage too much. Aftermarket cams can significantly drop mpg in the city though.

As they stated, it's not a significant difference. But if you're worried about fuel economy, a cam swap (let alone a Camaro) isn't the best idea.

Thanks guys.....I wasn't worried about it, just kinda curious since I have to make a 400 mile round trip twice a month....Either way it's still better than my truck, which gets 10mpg downhill

Highway and city is drastically different. I get less than 9 MPG in town. And no, there's nothing wrong with it.

No, it doesn't have a carb. And there is nothing wrong with it. That's what you get with an automatic trans when you do gears, stall, etc. M6 guys will get much better gas milage. If your worried about gas milage just leave it alone. Go buy a nice Prius or something. :P

I have a hotcam kit on my LT1 and still get an honest 30 MPG highway if I drive easy and am just cruising.

The way I figure it is, my vehicles are paid off while the average American has a $300+/mo car payment. My gas doesn't come anywhere near that.

No, it's not. Mine gets way better than that with a bigger cam and a bigger stall. Sounds like you need a tuneup, or a lighter right foot.

Where would you get this so called "lighter" right foot you speak of? It doesn't sound like much fun. I don't know how much more tuned up I can get. I run a wideband and part throttle is near stoich all the time. Opti is brand new ac delco. Good plugs and wires, MSD coil. I am a professional mechanic, I think it runs pretty good. If your getting WAY better than that with a GM 847 perhaps your leaving lots of power on the table to get better gas milage. If I baby it I can get 12-13 mpg but it's not much fun.
