lt4 hotcam dyno

i got a chance to dyno my car on am mustang dyno. base run was 312hp,325tq. third pull was the best as it pulled 325hp/340tq. does this sound right for the hotcam and prted heads? what kind of numbers would i have put down on a dynojet?

what kind of increases would i see going with the 233/239 or the 847? how is the torque curve on thos cams look?

Your numbers are right on. A Mustang dyno tends to record numbers at the lower range as compared to a Dynojet.

If your car is running good, go race the car and see how it performs.

i got a chance to do a lil tuning with it, didnt get a chance to finish it. i was told those numbers on a dyno jet would come out to about 350hp/365tq. does that sound about right. what kind of gains would i see with the 233/239 cam.

I'm not sure I'd say they'd be that high. Most LT4 cars with the hotcam only put down 330-340RWHP on a dynojet, although I have seen some with full boltons go as high as 360. A lot of it depends on how good of a port job your heads had. The easiest way to really get a good comparison is just going to be finding a dynojet in your area and dynoing on it.

nearest dynojet is about 45 min, and is always busy. i was able to get on the mustang dyno and get 3 pulls for $40.
