Lt4 Hot Cam Immediate Help Please!

OK, I'm in the process of ordering a Hot Cama kit from GMPartsdirect.com....at the bottom of the description of the kit it says "Technical Notes: This kit does not include roller tappets. See valve lifter section 0.459 for the lifter kit." What is this kit and where can I find it" The website sucks for searching for things...Also what else do I need with the kit for a successful install. Ex. valve seals, timing set, etc.... Thanks!

Is there a reason why you want to go with the Hotcam? I have it installed in one of my T/a's and I am not happy about it. I installed it as I was afraid I wouldnt pass emissions with a bigger cam but found out I could. So I am gonna be changing it in the near future. Heres the part number for the complete Hotcam kit from GM 12480002 It comes with cam, valve springs, retainers, shims and Roler rockers. YOu can reuse your original roller lifters as they are reusable. The LT4 Extreme timing chain set number is 12370835 Hope this info helps.

I should also tell you yes I have the computer reprogrammed and also have the LT4 heads and intake. I had the car wide banned tuned and on a Dyno and the best is 330 HP with Stock cat and shorty headers and a Borla muffler. Motor itself on Dyno, 415 Hp I know I would get A hell of a lot more horse with a bigger cam and No cat.

I am also afraid of emissions, living in Mass has its issues. I want a cam that is very streetable. I like the idea of using as many gm parts as possible. The other cam I was considering was the Comp Cams 224/230, which would be about a 5-10 hp gain, but would also be about $500 more for the whole "kit". I'll make up that power somewhere else and have peace of mind knowing that the Hot Cam kit comes with everything so you have no problems during the install. Thanks for the help, but do you know the p/n for the valve seals?

Valve seals, 10212810 and you have to order a set of 16. They dont sell a kit. Just individual.

OK, it says on GM's website that they come in a pack of 4. So do I need to buy two packs? or 8?

If they come in a pack of 4 then you need 4 packs. to total 16 . My book shows them individual but that could of changed.
