LT4 hot cam?

I was just wondering what my motor with the lt4 hotcam should run like at idle. My motor at idle does not sit 100% smooth, it has a slight shake to it. Just wondering if the slight movement is normal with the lt4 hotcam. Is the motor supposed to sit glass Smooth with no shake or movement at idle?

You should not expect a stock idle.

To add to this, the Hotcam is mild enough that you should be able to get a pretty steady idle in terms of RPM out of it though. It's not going to sound stock for certain, but it should easily maintain + or - 50 RPM from commanded once everything is fully dialed in.

It's going to lope at an idle bottom line. It's no longer a stock cam so it's going to do some shaking. Even stock motors should shake a little with any kind of mileage on the motor mounts.

That is about how mine sounds, but mine is slightly deeper. Mine has some fluctuation in the idle but not more than 20rpm, I can barely see movement on the gauge. I think I may have fixed my problem when I swaped the motor from my z28 to my TA, but I have not driven it yet so I am not sure. I will be getting the car painted in a few days, then I am going to have it smoged and registered. From the post I have read I think its running correctly, Its just hard to believe it is correct after having it running incorrectly for so long.
