Either that or no one wants to bother to take the time and tell you to search. I know I've read of several stock chains breaking, some on stock motors some on camm'ed motors.

I ran the ED timing chain against a stock 93K waterpump drive for several years without issue (7K limit, 100hp nitrous, much fun). Originally, I felt like a heel for not replacing the waterpump drive gear (I was too lazy)... but the end result was zero failure.

I have since stepped up to an EWP (Meziere HD 155). I recommend it.

I'm staying with stock components when I do my cam swap. I've never given much credit to the whole "HD, ED or Cloyes Double Roller" required for cam swap idea.
