Re: LT4 Conversion

The concensus is that the LT4 kit on a budget idea isn't worth it by any means. you can get an LE2 kit for 16-1700 and more than likely see a good 30-40 more rwhp for a few hundred less in cost. The LT4 conversion is only good if you are A) not on a budget and plan for more potential in the future with the LT4 heads and just want a lil bang for now until that time. or B) just want it for the "cool" factor of having an LT4 top end as some do. I myself would assume the first option.

The thread was about LT4 conversion, for which you could try searching on "LT4".

There's also tons of threads about Lloyd Elliott. Searching for LE2 in LT1 tech gives me 335 hits.

His website is eportworks.com.

Re: LT4 Conversion

The LT4 heads are great but the truth is you can port an LT1 head to exceed the power youd gain from the LT4 and save some cash in the process.

There are many great head porters out there but Lloyd Elliot and Advanced Induction are the big names youll hear around this message board since they are sponsors. You cant go wrong with them but that doesnt mean the guy down the street cant turn out some bad *** ported LT1 heads.

The LT4 cam isnt any better than the LT1 cam for making lots of power. There is however an LT4 HOTCAM which is pretty mild but great for somebody wanted to keep cost down... otherwise get a custom grind. You can gamble and go with a cam some other guy claimed to have made good power using or you can do it right and get a cam designed for your motor.

Lloyd elliot is a great guy by the way , he told me that porting my lt4s wouldnt be the best way to get more power and told me theres other things that I should do first .
