#5 and #6 spark plug wires after LT install
#5 and #6 spark plug wires after LT install
Since I don't have money to get OTVC plug wires right now, is there another way to tie these back a little bit so the spark plug wires aren't touching the header tubes? I can already see the #6 on the passenger side under the header tubes start to kind of melt, but I can't really see about the #5. Also, the plastic cover for the steering linkage is melting on the tubes as well, can I take that off? I have the top cover off it and the bottom one is starting to melt. All the other wires seem to clear the headers pretty well.
I was also wondering about a no check engine light...I would imagine I would get one because I'm not running rear o2's, will it take awhile for the computer to realize I don't have them?

You can try to zip tie the wires to something. The plastic steering linkage cover I just left off. For the rear O2s you will O2 sims or get the rear O2s programmed out of your PCM.
I have two O2 sims that have never been used because I ended up getting a madz28 tune and he deleted them for me. The package has never even been opened. I will sell them to you for $50 shipped, PM me if you are interested.

The thing is, I'm surprised I DIDN'T throw a SES light because I DON'T have the rear o2's in. I have a Madz28.com tune as well, and I'm about 45 minutes from his shop, if I throw a SES light I can just bring it over to his shop and have the rear o2's deleted from my computer.
Is it normal for the SES not to come on right away?

have the bott face towards the front of the car, and use that little wire thing on the block. thats what i did for my midlengths, so i am sure it will work for your long tubes. i am pretty talented though, i was able to route the spark plug wires in the stock location on the passenger side

For some reason the #2 plug didn't "snap" into place but it's on there pretty good as we can see. I don't want to break the plug because we tried forever to put it in. Should I leave it? What are some symptoms of a misfire etc. caused from a boot off the plug?
