Lt4 Cnc H/c Rwhp#???
Lt4 Cnc H/c Rwhp#???
i am trying to see if this is at all possible, or has been done.
i recently have read a post where a le3 package did 420 rwhp stock bottom end with stok sized valves, with heads that flowed in the 270 range, with nice bolt ons.
i was trying to see what would a stock bottom end do with some cnc'd lt4 heads and intake that flowed 300+cfm's with 2.08 valves and a big custom cam, what would a setup like that put down, any suggestions?

Re: Lt4 Cnc H/c Rwhp#???
these are his heads, i must have been mistaken, these arent the le3's, but these are what he used to do 420 rwhp.
- Lloyd Elliot heads with:
Ti Retainers
Comp 977 Springs 150 lbs on the seat
Rev 2.00/1.57 valves
Bronze Liners installed
Competition Valve Job
11.47:1 Compression Ratio
is 430+rwhp possible with some lt4's and a le3?

Re: Lt4 Cnc H/c Rwhp#???
There is a trans am on these boards with afr lt4 195's ported by e.b. racing and a custom cam from joe overton who is making 450rwhp and 400rwtq. If i were you I would send my lt4's to L.E. and get them ported to the le3 level then have either him or a number of of other people grind you custom cam.(joe overton, bret bauer, llyod, advanced induction, etc.) I am not sure if you heads will flow 300cfm but there is a lot more to it than that. Tell llyod you want to make the most power you can, bench flow numbers are not everything.
