Re: air in fuel line
i have pressure tested the fuel with my gauge at the valve and it was with in spec the car is stock except for some drive train stuff.how and what do i need to start looking into for vapor lock?

Re: air in fuel line
Vapor lock is caused by under hood temp getting to the lines and causing the fuel to boil.Ya have to insulate the lines, but I will put my money on pump and acting up at different times and not the times ya checked it.
If your pump is right it should pump enough volume and pressure to not have this problem.

Re: air in fuel line
Well that is pretty strange. Think about it, very little residual pressure builds up due to the slight expansion of the plastic fuel lines. Sounds like to me the tank vent may have a problem. Don't do anything further until the problem occurs again. Then if does, pull the white plastic vent off the hose going to the tank. Its located behind the LR wheel and is clipped into a metal bracket. See if it releases a lot of vacuum and then try to start the car again after that.
Also have you looked for any leaks along the fuel lines and especially near the fuel filter.
