Lt4 383

I searched 383 in this forum and got A LOT of awesome information. From my understanding ported and polished LT1 heads CANT feed the 383 properly(they work but not at max hp/trq). Will a ported and polished LT4 head and LT4 intake manifold combo suffice? More expensive but looking to get those either way. Any help would be appreciated.

Looking to be enlightened,
Dan

I agree.

Although LT1 heads might not flow well enough (or what some ppl consider "well enough") to feed a high horsepower LT1, a complete porting job on stock heads can definitely be a great benefit to a stroker motor.

Some ppl will go with aftermarket castings, such as AFRs, in order to reach the really high horsepower levels. If u look at the flow numbers on LT4 heads compared to LT1 heads, they are not all that different. If ur on a reasonable budget, I would just get a comprehensive porting of ur LT1 heads, with a valve job and u should see a significant gain in power.

I am not looking for blown or nitrous. Daily driven 450hp N/A would be fine for me. Would a LT4 383 work out? I am putting together a parts list before I get to buying.
