headers, loudmouth, and replacing cat with 12" dynomax bullet questions

Thoughts? Opinions? This will be on a 93 Z28. I have AS&M headers, and a loudmouth with the stock cat. If I replace the cat with a 12" dynomax bullet, just how much louder is it going to be? Also, the 12" is the size I'd want, correct? 3" in / out.

Anyone have any sound clips of a similar setup?

And one more thought, would a catco/carsound/magnaflow hi flow cat be any louder than stock?

Thanks in advance!

It would be enuff to notice, the main change will be in the tone. A hi-flow cat should net a tone change at most.

Before I had headers, I ran the loudmouth with the cat. I, like most everone else, wanted it louder. So, I ripped off the cat and replaced it with an I pipe. This was the WORST sounding thing I have ever heard in my life. Cruising in 6th was terrible, it sounded like a tractor. So, I then went and put on a 18" dynomax bullet in attempts to make it sound better. Well, to my surprise, it souned just as bad. It always popped, crackled, made weird death like noises............it was terible. It wasnt nearly as loud, but it sounded like ***. The Loudmouth sounded the best on the stock headers and cat.

Now I run Mac headers and a custom catback.
