it says on the lt4 conversion that 92-95 might need to upgrade to the newer ignition that 96 and 97 have any of u guys use this kit on an older lt1 and have to do this??? also does the cloyes timing chain for 92-94 lt1's have a water pump drive gear???

 

They are referring to the optispark. You need to convert over to a vented optispark to use the kit.
