Pulling Heads

I got a question. If i was to pull the heads off my car for a period of about 2 weeks, what would i have to do to make sure that nothing happened to the block and nothing would be harmed?

Nothing will rust will it?

Thanks,
Stu

check on getting one of those engine bag things, or at least set something on it to keep dust out. I don't think you'll have any rust problems, but you might wanna keep a check on it if you're concerned. I think the biggest part of your concern should be keeping dust and dirt and junk out of your shortblock.

Rub everything down good with transmission fluid. It's rust-preventative and a good engine cleaner.

Just use an engine bag from summit.. worked great.

Your car should have oil on it if it was ran recently, and it won't rust.

We've had a few shortblocks sitting around for atleast a month or two and theyre shiny as hell.

Glad Press and Seal works. Press it on all the "hard" edges where oil has not gotten. It will hold.
