LT1 WS6 air boxes....

Who makes an aftermarket one or where can I get a stock piece? I don't want to pay out the a$$ either.

Check with SLP. The ram air box for their hoods was an exact copy of the stock WS6 airbox, withour the "PONTIAC" and "RAM AIR" logos on the cover. They may not make it any more, though.

Hawksthrirdgenparts.com used to have one (aftermarket) with Pontiac Ram Air stamped on it, but can't find it on there now. Might wanna send em' an email as they just had it up there not but a couple of weeks ago.

do a search on google, sometimes you'll get lucky.

i picked up an oem WS6 box, a K&N filter, and both the couplers that go on either side of the MAF for $115 shipped to my door some guy in oklahoma had it on a local fbody board and couldnt give it away (he was asking $150 and no one took it so like 3 months later he dropped it to $100, which is where i snagged it. i just had to pay the $15 shipping to get it here...to give you an idea of how cheap this is, most of the time you'll find the box only with or without a paper filter, but without the large MAF to TB coupler for $300-$400 and that coupler new is $160 from GM, although you can get a 4x3 pipe coupler for like $6 and poke a hole into it for the opti vent) and actually the small coupler that goes between the box and the MAF is identical to the non ram air one, and mine was in better shape so i just used that one and resold the other one when i sold off my stock airbox

and it was in really good shape other than the front weatherstrip was sagging so i had to get some 3m double sided trim tape to tape it up and its been on there now for almost 6 months and hasnt come loose

you need a ram air hood to take full advantage of the stock LT ws6 airbox.

I am going to throw on a lid and ssra. Hopefully it will provide some gains over the LT CAI.

I have the SLP Ultra Z hood so I'd rather go Ram Air.
