LT1 vs. BLOWN V-6?
If the V6 is a 5 spd, your toast. What do you got, 2.73s?
I don't want a flame war but,
my 4dr, automatic,2.93 geared, grocery getter has embarrased more than 1 LT1 both at the track and on the street. It has nothing more than a pulley and a catback.
A couple guys at clubgp.com have replaced their Eaton M90s with centrifigals(sp) and picked up alot of HP. Thats what the Camaro in question is- a 3.8 V6 with a centrifugal blower in a lighter car(than a GP) with better gears and probably a 5 spd.
With your mods, my moneys on the V6.
BTW- I'm not an LT1 hater, I own one.

The powerdyne kit sucks, it runs on the flat side of the belt and only about 20% of the pulley is covered. It slips so bad its hard to see even 5lbs from it and its not intercooled. Its a low 14 second car at sea level, thats all.
I know its a different topend setup and maybe different pistons, but Ive seen mid to high 400rwhp Grand Prix GTP, same block. If he knows what hes doing id be cautious, i wouldnt bet anything but a snickers on this race.
