LT1 Timing chain Replacement

HOw long does GM recommend you keep the stock timing cahin in a 1997 LT1 engine?

PLease dont say LIFETIME......
Realistically when should it be replaced???

any suggestions on a good brand to replace it with?

Not sure that GM has a recommendation on that.
But I would say it should be good for one hundred thousand miles.
It all depends on how much abuse it has had too.
By then it should be getting some slack in it.

It's not a Honda with a drive belt. There really is not any recommendations on changing the timing chain. Obviously, any high mileage engine that is already torn down for engine work should have the timing set changed.
