LT1 SWAP Please help!!

quest: I'm replacing my 1997 z28 LT1 Camaro engine with a 1995 Firebird LT1 with lower mileage...now do i need to change the computer and wiring harness or can i still use the same one on the car?

Your 97 is OBD-II. To continue to use the 95 engine with your 97 PCM, you would have to swap the knock sensor from your 97 onto the 95, and swap the crank position sensor from the 97 to the 95, which requires that you also use the 97 timing cover and the 97 damper hub. The 95 engine will be missing the EVAP vacuum detection valve, so you could swap that over as well (on or near the front of the passenger side valve cover).

Alternatively, you could put an OBD-I PCM in the car, and then wrestle with the differneces in the wiring harness.
