replicate the problem, try getting the car to mess up while monitering the fuel pressure. If it drops its a fuel issue. But like i said earlier if its the oil pressure safety mechanism it might shut the pump off too. Put a test light on the power feed to the pump while you are testing if the fuel pressure drops off.

You said that it is a new pump? What pump did you put in? Some aftermarket pumps have you alter or remove the bucket in which it sits. If this is the case then the bucket might not be keeping the pump submerged like it should. And since there are no baffles in the fuel tank, the fuel will slosh around and starve your pump. Just my guess.

I had exactly the same problem that was caused by a dying Accel ignition box.

ram air 383? What did that cost you?

See i got a new ignition module about 7 months ago
new fuel pump & Sending unit
water pump

Now it just runs like crap all the time even when i start it and it has been sitting. So i can't even simulate. It starts backfiring but it'll run til it runs out of gas, but it just chugs at 200 rpm. .........again it's a P1361 code. Ignition coil control circuit, low voltage
