Lt1 Scan master wiring?

I just picked one up,I know it comes with no harness to plug in you have wire it in yourself.I know it needs 12 volts swithched and ground but am not sure were the data wire gets hooked up to the ALDL connector? How do I postively Idetify that I am hooking up to the right wire. The car is a 97 Z with OBD1 computer on board.Thanx in advance.

You are correct you need 12 volt pwr, gnd, and then the 3rd wire hooks up to the tan wire on the ALDL, i am not sure what pin # it is though.

Fred, (Injuneer) has a scanmaster 'how to' if interested. It includes the wire install info.

Ah, here it is: http://members.aol.com/InjuneerZZ/ScanMast.htm
