well here recently the old lt1 formys been givin me some problems. well when i try to start the car it starts up fine but almost instantly stalls. sometimes it will start right up but sometimes it will just do the same thing. if i give it gas to force it to start and stay running, it sounds as if it only running on 5 or 6 cylinders. well once it finaly starts it seems to run fine but at speed you can feel it missing somewhat. also under WOT it misses at the higher rpms. it ran fine for a little while but the other night while i was running it, it felt like it was blowing out the spark or something under wot. its got me pretty stumped.

i just replaced the opti cap and rotor, coil, tps sensor, pcv valve, spark plugs, plug wires, and the air filter and it still doin the same thing. oh and when i changed the cap an rotor i ended up touching the optical disc (think thats it) on the inside of the opti, the one that rotates under the little sensor in the distributor. well the instrucktions that came with the cap an rotor said DO NOT TO THE OPTICAL DISC and i failed to see that before the install lol.

Did you replace all these things before or after the problem?
You need to check the plugs for cracks and the plug wires to see if they're burnt. Check your fuel pressure too.
Any backfiring?

 

i changed these things after the problems started happening. i does backfire when i let the car slow down while in gear but only at the lower rpms like 3k and less.
