Exclamation LT1 Questions...

Yo

I am interested in a 1994 Pontiac Formula LT1 engine... you know the deal here...

I am almost positive the breaks are stock... but i'm not sure what the stock breaks are on a 1994 Formula... L0L I am assuming they are 4 wheel disc brakes but not sure... anyone know?

Also... THis engine doesn't have any many mods but jba 15 over 8 headers and K&N Air Filter garbage... It has a throttle body air foil and a Random tech cat converter... but not sure how much this crap does to your MPG highway or city wise...

On the highway I will most likely cruise in 6th at like 70mph... I should get like 25mpg right? What do you think about the city?

Also, what the hell is a Throttle Body Air Coil? L0L

One more thing... does anyone know if the Tri Flow Stainless Steel Exhaust is any good for the Formula? That is what is on there and not sure if I should replace it with a SLP Loudmouth Exhaust... the guy says it has broken 2 twice already because of some **** to do with the torque... but my friend says its probably a bad installation job... If it don't break, think I should change exhausts?

Thanks for your time...

Chris

JBA 15 over 8 headers??? what the heck are those?

The K&N is not garbage
expect 15-20 city, depending on how you drive

If thats the B&B tri-flow, leave it on there, its a quality setup from what ive heard, and the loudmouth sound like **** with headers....

just realized...... not jba 15 over 8 lol..... JBA 1 5/8.....as in 1 and five eights inch primaries lol

All V8 Pontiac F-Bodys 93 and up come with 4 wheel disk breaks, only the V6 cars came with drums in the rear, except the V6 cars with the W66 package.

Headers? What headers? You didn't ask anything about headers...

If he said the exhaust broke twice already, I would have the install job checked by a mechanic (not the one that did the install) to see if it was done correctly, or if it was a hack job. No reason exhaust should break twice, expecially aftermarket unless it was custom fabricated and throwing some krazy tq #'s

1. 4 wheel disc brakes
2. 1.5/8ths diameter tubes your talking about
3. what the hell is a random tech cat converter?
4. you will get about 18 mpg city depending on how you drive
5. stock 3:42 gears in 6th at 70 you will get about 25 mpg... yes, or a little better even
6. K&N is a free-flowing air filter... what makes that garbage?? ... its not...
7. the exhaust shouldn't break like that... i would have it inspected to make sure everything is right..
8. if for some reason you need a new exhaust, look into a flowmaster cat-back

Random Technology makes high flow catalytic converters (among other things). They're not junk either, btw

Yo

I asked about the headers once someone replied with what kind they were, they weren't a question originally...

But thanks for your help fellas... really

I didn't mean the K&N was garbage... I didn't know its full name so Garbage was just a suffix for the rest of K&N... L0L
