LT1 not starting on first try

I just had a remanufactured motor installed in my 95z28, 2 years ago, it runs like a champ, no lights, errors etc, it used to start at a the turn of the key immediately I wouldn't even hear it turning over, the last week or so it is having a hard time firing, i turn the key it turns over kinda fast no start, I stop, turn the key again and it sounds like it's turning over faster then eventually starts. Seems like it's getting worse, any ideas?

Thanks,

Rob

try checking your fuel pressure. Thats what happened to my car and it turned out to be the fuel pump.Swapped it out for a walbro and now starts at the turn of the key

Yes, you can pick up a fuel pressure guage at a parts store. It will connect to the schrader valve on the back of the intake right by the fuel pressure regulator.

Can be a huge pain, you can drop the tank which involves dropping exhaust and rear end or you can cut a access pannel from inside the car which would be the easier way but some people don't like the idea of "hacking" up their car but if you are interested here is the link.

also, most of the time filters dont cause problems with no start....very rarely but if you end up doing a pump you have to do a filter also...if you want to replace filter just to rule it out and see what happens then go for it.
