LT1/LT4 help to get back on the road
LT1/LT4 help to get back on the road
I have a 97 that the has been built to basically be an LT4...Has the hot cam, intake and so on...Other than that the car is stock. It hasnt seen the road other than a tootle around the block to keep it running. She still runs good i must add. I want to take it in and get all the fluids changed but need some advice. What kind of oil, trans fluid and its a 6 speed if that helps, and anything else that i might need to check...thanks and cant wait to get back out there and let her shine...
Re: LT1/LT4 help to get back on the road
Follow the recommendations of your Owner's manual. If you don't have a manual look for Shoebox's website. He has a link to Owner's Manual downloads.
5W-30 oil, conventional or synthetic. Dexron III ATF for the T56 6-speed.
Why not change the fluids youself? Save money and learn more about your car? Don't forget the coolant, rear axle lube, and brake fluid.
Has it been tuned for the HOT cam?
