LT1 or lS1, what do you think?

I need some input on a dilema that I'm in, I posted in the LS1 section about getting a new car. I wrecked my car last week and thinking about getting an LS1 car, what would you guys do in my situation, get an LT1 or LS1 car? I'm leaning towards an LS1 but if an LT4 F-body comes my way that will be priority. Any opions are welcome I love the LT1 it's a tough mother, but something about warranty and easy modding seem appealing. That and no opti-poop to deal with.

I say an LS1. I owned both the LT1 and the LS1...the LS1 is by far a better car. Much faster. And if you go the T/A route, the LS1's DEFINATELY look a helluva lot better! ~Drool~ WS6 T/A's are damn near my favorite car!

It's all about personal opinion. I've owned both and i prefer the LT1. If i ever hear an LS1 exhaust note that sounds meaner then my LT4 hotcammed LT1 then maybe i'll go back but probably not.

LT1s are cheaper to mod, plus I think 93-97s look better.

If you can afford it, go ls1. They have 50 more rwhp right out of the box. It is gonna take a few bolt ons to keep up with a lid/catback ls1. Plus they are newer, less mileage, and have a large aftermarket. Ls1 camaro may look like a sebring, but its a darn fast sebring. Coil per cylinder ignition so you've got one less hassle to worry about.

Lt1 exhaust note rules, however.

The ls1 is the newer engine, will be used in future cars untill a newer engine is built, so more/newer parts will be made. Most likely to have more, better, cheaper mods in the future. Its lighter, better heads stock, far superior intake stock.... I want one.....
