Are LT1 and LS1 sensors the same?

Does anyone know if LS1 and LT1 sensors are the same, specifically, the TPS and IAC?

From what I understand, the connectors are the same, not entirely sure about the sensor itself.

I do believe that the sensors themselves are the same and can be bought at any parts store...

LS1 TB is different with different TPS and IAC.

Thats what I was afraid of shoebox. Is it in anyway possible to splice or adapt one to another? Specifically LT1->LS1

We might go to work on a project here where an LS1 TB will be needed.

Voltage potentials and wiring may be the same or similar, but I have no 98+ manuals to tell me for sure.

I'm looking at an LS1 file right now and the settings are different, so I'd say about 95% sure it won't work... the IAC at least. The TB is different so I'm pretty sure the TPS won't work either.

Hmm This isnt encouranging...I had forgotten about the tuning aspect here.

How is it that the Z06 MAF sensor can be made to work?

This project is going to involve tuning without a doubt. Madwolf, do you think this difference could be "tuned out".

At the very least do you think its possible to maybe even buy some pigtails from GM so that the values can read by the PCM at a minimum?

Unfortunately I'd have to say no here. LS1 IAC goes by grams per second of the airflow while the IAC on lt1s goes by coolant temperature. There is no setting to adjust TPS voltage either. I suppose one could built a translating box for the TPS, but 1. that will not be cost effective and 2. You will still have the IAC issue.

I forgot to mention that the Z06 maf just like the LT1 or LS1 MAF works by reporting a certain frequency for different airflow gram per second readings. Those frequencies it reports just happen to be the same on all of these cars and so all you have to change is the gram per second values.

I think shoebox already anwsered this but are the actual shape/size etc of the sensors different? If not than I could just take all of the LT1 stuff and just pop it on the LS1 TB.
