lt1 to ls1 - which parts are interchangable?

I'm thinking about selling my lt1 in favor of the ls1 platform.

I have some uninstalled parts, and think they would be put to better use on my new car if possible, as I'll probably lose a lot selling them.

I hope somebody can just write back with some Yay or Nays for each part:

Delphi 42# injectors
Walbro 355lph
Lunati Forged 4340 Crank - Stock LT1 stroke.. I know the ls1 is a 346..
Eagle Forged 4340 Rods - Same deal, stock length. Where do the cubes go on ls1?
C5 Brakes - I know these will fit on the LS1 if I get the mounting bracket. Would the same bracket even work on the LT1?

Also, are LS1s 2 bolt main or 4 bolt? If 4, are they splayed?

Finally, does anyone here think its a better idea to continue to build the LT1 than it is to step up to the LS1? Note: I'd be spending about 3 grand out of pocket when selling my car to go to an LS1.

Thanks in advance for any input you guys might have!

Not To Sure On The Part`s, But I Personally Think That Going To A Ls1 Wouldn`t Be A Step Up I Think It Would Be A Step Down

The Wheels......? $ 3000 in an LT1 would easily outpower a stock LS1. In this section of the forum you may find that we are partial. Stick with teh LT1.

Another vote for you to stick with the LT1.

keep the LT1..

Everyone outside of the camaro world is so into the "ls1>*" attitude and will never expect a quick lt1... make them learn their lesson... build the lt1.

Do you realize the LS1 has virtually nothing in common with the earlier Chevy small bocks. The only things in common are the center-to-center spacing on the cylinder bores and the fact that it is made by GM.

Delphi 42# injectors - Will work, but will have a higher rating, since LS1 operates at 58psi.

Walbro 355lph - will work, but the rest of the fuel system will not match. LT1 has a recirculated system operating at 43.5psi, LS1 has a dead-end system operating at 58psi.

Lunati Forged 4340 Crank - Stock LT1 stroke.. I know the ls1 is a 346.. - Will not work. Totally different block, different firing order, different crank.

Eagle Forged 4340 Rods - Same deal, stock length. Where do the cubes go on ls1? - Will not work. LS1 rods stock are over 6". Yours will not be long enough and not match the crank diameter. Rod length does not determine "cubes".

C5 Brakes - I know these will fit on the LS1 if I get the mounting bracket. Would the same bracket even work on the LT1? - Probably

Also, are LS1s 2 bolt main or 4 bolt? If 4, are they splayed? - The LS1 block is a 6 bolt main setup... 4 straight up into the block and 2 horizontal from the side of the engine. Its a totally different engine.... does not look in any way like any earlier SBC.
