LT1/LS Plug-in fomula
One of you computer/car geniuses needs to design a link on here to a formula page where you could plug in your car mods and it would calculate a rough estimate of hp and tq output. Plug in mods before you do them to help design a better end result.
Re: LT1/LS Plug-in fomula
No it wouldn't help people atall.
For example
People think "ported heads" says something about them when that can range from ruined to better than aftermarket heads. How could someone even begin to account for that especially when the guys who bought ruined heads did so beliving they were good and would input good data.
There are a lot of us who have been at this a long time, made our mistakes and are willing to help those who will be helped, problem is people get talked into "saving" $200 for half the result and then **** away $600 on something that wont help on the same build.
I think most will agree my car gets better than average results mailorder tune, stock opti/coil/module, 8yo 4L60E with all stock hardparts and servos even some stock clutches, stock FPR, full dual exhaust(b-bodies got duals so easy) to bumper with mufflers and resonators. Most kids with a 12 second f-body will tell you that is all wrong and waste money replacing that stuff and then "save" it where it really counts in topend and valvetrain.
Even my suspension is pretty stock, rubber motor mounts the list goes on. People just need to learn where to focus effort and where they can try and save a buck.
