Re: Lt1 into Ls1 hole
You'd need a k-member, steering rack, steering shaft, return fuel line, an LT1 harness, and a bunch odf other expensive stuff.
With 5.3 truck motors a dime a dozen, why bother?

Be careful, if you have to pass a visual test for emissions and the tech knows the difference between an LS and a LT, and that a 99 should have an LS, they may refuse to test it. Some states you can put in a newer engine in a older car, but not an older engine in a newer car. Just sayin'.
Build the LS, less hassle, more power.

Re: Lt1 into Ls1 hole
Considering you can get 5.3s for dirt cheap and it's pretty much a direct swap, yes. If you can find a decent 6.0 for a good price then go for it but otherwise a 5.3 will work well enough. They also respond very well to nitrous or boost and you can bore the iron block to a 3.095 bore (5.7L) very easily.

Re: Lt1 into Ls1 hole
If you're going to bore an iron block just grab an LQ4 6.0 out of a truck. They're dirt cheap and are torquey as hell. They have a lower compression ratio that the LS series engines allowing good results with a supercharger.
