LT1 hotcam tuning with Jet DST?

A few F-body guys and I are going in on a jet DST tuner, and I would like to know if anybody has tuned their hotcam, full exhaust, basic bolt on LT1 with the Jet DST, can I accurately tune it with that? This is cheaper for me and gives the opportunity to retune with no shipping and wait time, so please don't just say "get a mail order or dyno tune". Thanks.

You can do anything with that that you can do with tunercat......its very similar ( yes I know the whole story they sold the Lic.)

Of all the aftermarket systems...I think DST and tuner cat is the most complicated

You need two more things: Data logger and wideband o2. MXScan is supposed to work with the DST box which i believe has analog inputs for logging external sensor data. You'll use that to get the fueling right, and you can ballpark the spark using your knock sensor as a reference. More fine tuning can be done if you rent yourself some dyno time.

FYI - if you think this is something you will do once and leave alone, do not waste your time or money -- it is cheaper and much less frustrating to pay someone to dyno tune the car. However, if you like constantly tweaking stuff i think it's worthwile to invest in this equipment.
